What’s this? An update on a Tuesday!? Well, yes, mainly because I’m not sure what kind of mood I’ll be in tomorrow or if I’ll even get home before dawn.

Tomorrow I’ll be going to a museum nearby where they’re doing a Miles Davis retrospective and concert. Apparently they have all kinds of Miles’ instruments, artwork, photographs, writings and more on display, as well as a two-hour concert of some of his best works by some of the finest musicians in St. Louis. As a guy who’s just getting himself interested in jazz music, after years of listening to big band and swing way before they were popular in the mid-90’s, this is a must-attend evening; especially since Miles is pretty much the best I’ve heard yet in my exploration of the genre.

So I’m not sure what I’ll feel like doing when the concert ends tomorrow night at 9:00. Maybe I’ll come running home and type until my fingers bleed or maybe I’ll feel the need to go to the jazz bar that’s a few interstate exits away and smoke cigars and listen to the music until they kick me out. I don’t know. Either way you can bet that my next update, most likely Thursday, will involve my tomorrow evening as well as a few other things that are swirling through my head like a hurricane. All I can say is, “Damn you, Jack Kerouac. Damn you to hell.”

So, keep your eyes posted here. I shall return, but it might not be tomorrow.
