The day is here. Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. And screw you if you think I’m dumb for being excited. Hooters at 5:30, then who knows what until we break down and decide we’d better get to the theater and wait in line until 12:01 when the movie starts; I’m thinking we’ll be standing in the lobby around 9:00. Yes, we will probably be standing in line longer than it will actually take to watch the film, but it’ll be worth it to have good seats. Fanatics? Perhaps. Oh well. So, yeah, that's why I'm posting early this week, because I might not be at work until later in the morning and I'd hate for you to have to wait.

Been a weird week for me. Basically, nothing has happened. Last weekend pretty much blew as I was saving up the cash so I can go to Bloomington this coming weekend. This week I’ve been going to work, working out, maybe doing some writing, watching a movie and going to bed. Pretty damned exciting, huh?

Really, I can’t say last weekend completely sucked as I did get to spend a little time with Ben, who helped me replace my brake pads and rotors. The Lone Star steakhouse that I gave him in payment for the job well done was pretty awesome as well. After dinner, we ran by a used video game place called Game Xchange. Among the thousands of Playstation CD’s and Super Nintendo cartridges was a whole stack of Atari 2600 cartridges. I have an old 2600 and had to pick up a few of these classic games. I don’t have them in front of me, but as I recall, I got Pac-Man, Q-Bert, Asteroids, Space Invaders, E.T., and…well, that’s all I can remember, but I know there were three more for a total of eight games. At $2 apiece, I got quite a few trips back to my youth for $16. Now I just need to hook the old Atari up and try them out. Might do that next week sometime.

I have made some progress on the job hunt, lately. Got my paper resume completed and have a list of companies I want to send it to. Still have no clue what I’m doing for the website resume, but I’ll come up with something. I’m not going to wait on that, though. Even if I send a CD to a company I’ve already sent a paper resume to, I still want to get the paper ones out there. Maybe the CD will be the whiz-pow that gets the attention, but I don’t want to miss any opportunities while I was working on the whiz-pow either. So, I should be mailing those out as soon as I can afford to buy some decent paper stock, hopefully in the next few days.

This coming weekend looks to be an insane one for me. I’m taking off early on Friday so I can make it back to Champaign around 4:00 or 5:00. Staying at my parents that night, driving to Bloomington Saturday to get together with Jackie, Amy Lue and Scott, some friends I haven’t seen in quite some time. After hitting the happening nightlife in Bloomington-Normal and sleeping on a couch, I’ll be getting up at the (relatively) butt crack of dawn to drive back to St. Louis on Sunday so that I can go sit at an all-day, outdoor concert. The concert will feature such modern rock favorites as: Sevendust, Our Lady Peace, Tenacious D, Hoobastank, Local H, X- Ecutioners, Goldfinger, Unwritten Law, Trik Turner, and many, many more. Yeah, I haven’t heard of half of them either, but, eh, I’m not so much going for the music as I am going to be with friends. So, should be a fun, whirlwind of a weekend for sure.

Well, I guess that about covers it for this week. I hope everyone has a good, safe weekend (myself especially with all this traveling I’m doing) and go see Attack of the Clones.
