Wow! Only 3 days since I last wrote! Gotta be a new record for me.

Last time I wrote I talked about getting back into school to actually gain some skills that might be useful in the job market. Well, I’ve done some looking around and so far things are not looking good as far as summer courses go. The classes are either during the day or not offered – either way it doesn’t work out for me. Looks like I’m going to have to hold off until this fall. Somewhat depressing, but then again, I also found out that if we take courses through a certain college that the city I work for will give you tuition reimbursement. So, we’ll see how things develop come August or so.

Been doing a lot of Tao research lately. Found a few websites that talk about the Tao Te Ching, which is essentially the guidebook to living within the Tao. Granted, there are many different translations, but I took a chance with one of them and printed it out for myself to read. I’ll probably update the links tomorrow so you too can read this incredible book - so look for them.

Been doing pretty well on my diet this week. I found this fitness journal on WebMD that lets you put in what you ate and what kind of exercise you’ve done and it figures up the calories consumed or burned. This week on I’m an average of about 1,300 per day – you’d be surprised how little food that is. But, I have lost a few pounds already, so it seems to be worth it so far.

It's tax time again. In case you haven't done all your paperwork already, I highly recommend going to turbotax.com and filling out everything there. So easy it's not even funny, plus the damn thing found an extra $50 from how much I had figured up! $309 will be a nice little credit card payment...or maybe I'll just blow it all on something I really don't need. You know how it is.

As you might recall, I live near St. Louis and at the St. Louis Art Museum (www.slam.org) they’re showing a collection of Van Gogh and some of his colleagues’ paintings. I think I’m going to try to go Tuesday night when it’s free. “Sorry Vince, but I’m broke as hell. Oh, I’m sorry, I’ll speak into the other ear, then.” Should be fun.

Well, that about does it for this entry. Not a whole lot going on, I guess. I’m livin' and that’s enough for me. Sorry, suddenly went into Boyz N’ The Hood mode there.
